We, and several flashlight manufacturers use highly rated Super Lube on flashlight threads and Orings. We offer two choices of Super Lube - Grease or High Viscosity Oil (Gel like consistency) - we prefer using the high viscosity oil - but, it does require more frequent application. The grease on the other hand is pretty much a once a year or so application depending on use and environment.
In either case - only a small-match stick head size or smaller drop of grease/oil is needed for most applications... on our lights the best use is on the body tube o-rings to make for nice buttery smooth tail cap and head twisting. (note as lubricants do tend to be dielectric in nature - for best light performance do not apply grease/oil to the electrical contact surfaces at the front or back ends of the body tube) Either of the below tubes will typically last you for years.
Super Lube® Grease is a patented synthetic NLGI
grade 2 heavy-duty, multipurpose lubricant with PTFE. Synthetic base
fluids and the addition of PTFE micro powders combine to form a premium
lubricant that provides longer life protection against friction, wear,
rust and corrosion. Super Lube® is compatible with most other

will not melt or separate.
